I took a pregnancy test … · i had an irregular shaped gestational sac on my first scan for my first pregnancy. Theres a yolk inside so its not bo. · i went to a&e who did an internal scan which showed an irregular gestational sac with a small fetal pole in fundus of uterus corresponding to 6 weeks. · hey, so my gyn told me that my gestational sac is shaped a bit weird. · my main concern is that they said my gestational sac looks irregular. I’m 6 weeks and 6 days. Has anyone had any experience of either being dated a week early at 6 weeks, and/or having an irregular-shaped pregnancy sac? This irregularity varies for all women and could lead to miscarriage. · irregular gestational sac shows that the wall of the gestational sac is not well defined. I don’t know how irregular because i haven’t seen the scan, and they didn’t give any measurements. On top of that she doesn’t see a yolk sac or fetal pole. · gestational sacs which are regular is good for pregnancy but an irregular gestational sac is usually a cause for concern as they are predictors of many a times poor outcome or miscarriages. Positive and negative stories welcome :) The irregular gestational sac could be indicative of a non viable pregnancy or it could fix itself in the weeks leading up to your follow up appointment.
